This year’s Cannifest theme could not be more relevant. The American flag was made out of hemp and the US Constitution was written on hemp parchment. Frank Benlin (the reincarnation of Ben Franklin) is back to provide historical perspective to the rediscovery of a plant with its important history to our country. Hippies, counter-culture, Reefer Madness, and the creation of an independent community will all be rich subjects of discussion. Thousands of years of cannabis use in ancient India, China and Europe will add perspective to what a medicine of the future could look like. We are creating not only an industry, but a lifestyle.
